We're building regional fiber system across Canada centered around local fibers, local dyes, and local labor

Canadian Fibreshed Network

Fibreshed is a non-profit organization that develops regional fiber systems that build ecosystem and community health. Our work expands opportunities to implement climate benefitting agriculture, rebuild regional manufacturing, and connect end-users to the source of our fiber through education. We transform the economic systems behind the production of material culture to mitigate climate change, improve health, and contribute to racial and economic equity.

The Cross Canada Fibreshed Network's vision is to strengthen the fibreshed movement across Canada and build capacity among affiliate organizations in all regions of Canada

We are a network of farmers, land-managers, designers, ecologists, sewers, knitters, felters, and natural dyers, spinners and mill operators that have defined a strategic geography to work and create within.
